Whelan & Curry Construction Services, Inc., was formed in late 1992—an economically challenging time during which the key factor in a buyer's decision-making process was the bottom line. Reasonable cost was, and continues to be, central

to both our building philosophy and to the needs of the central New York area buyer.

We offer a range of construction services including site selection, feasibility studies, negotiated design construction, traditional plan and spec bid construction, construction management, value engineering, and material sales of Butler Manufacturing pre-engineered buildings.

The structural integrity of any business or building begins with its foundation. At Whelan & Curry, we have experience in both the local area and the local construction business. Our technological knowledge of the construction industry gives us a strong work ethic, a dedication to quality, and a commitment to serving our customers. We share the philosophy that a strong business is built upon relationships with satisfied customers, which will lead to repeat business and valuable references for use in negotiating work with new clients. We have built our past buildings and our reputations based on this philosophy. Now, we are building our business on it. Together, we have the right combination of experience in local construction, knowledge of construction methods and techniques, and understanding of the value placed by the client on quality, time, and bottom-line cost.

This is accomplished by assisting the client in all aspects of determining exactly what type of building best suits their needs and then seeing that this building is delivered during the construction phase. This service is provided before, during, and after construction is completed.

Our clients benefit from our years of experience that are in the design-build field, the architectural relationships that we have established, and the talented, quality-conscious subcontractor base that we have developed during our 50-plus combined years of experience. In a partnering process, we assemble all required professionals and establish the necessary relationships with them in order to realize the common goal of our clients' project. Continuous evaluation and timely responsiveness are guaranteed throughout the design and construction process. We work in the best interest of and for our client to develop both a project design and a construction budget that maximizes the value of the project by optimizing our clients' needs and resources. This avoids the adversarial relationships, duplication of effort, ineffective management, and the disputes often present in the plan and spec, hard bid construction area.
